Reborn & Silicone Baby Aftercare Guide
Congratulations on your new addition! 💗 Your Reborn baby was created with lots of delicate details that make them look and feel extra special.
Just like anything special, a little gentle care will help keep your baby looking beautiful for years to come. Because care can vary depending on whether you have a full-body silicone baby or a vinyl/cloth-body Reborn, always make sure you’re following the instructions for your baby’s material.
🫧 Keeping Your Baby Clean
Babies get loved, cuddled and carried everywhere, so a little cleaning from time to time is completely normal!
Always use a gentle touch when cleaning your baby. Avoid harsh household cleaners, alcohol, disinfecting wipes or aggressive scrubbing, as these may damage your baby’s paint or finish.
Full-body silicone babies and vinyl/cloth-body Reborns require different cleaning methods. Never fully submerge a cloth-body baby in water.
🛁 Bathing Your Baby
Some of our full-body silicone babies can enjoy gentle bath time, making pretend baby care even more fun!
Use lukewarm water and be very gentle. Avoid aggressive rubbing, scrubbing or stretching the silicone.
Important: Not every Reborn baby is bathable. Vinyl babies with cloth bodies should never be submerged in water.
When you’re unsure, contact us before giving your baby a bath. We’d much rather answer a question first than have your baby accidentally damaged. 💕
✨ Silicone Powder Care
If you have a full-body silicone baby, you may notice that the silicone naturally attracts lint, fuzz, hair and dust. This is normal!
A light application of silicone-safe matting/dusting powder can help your baby feel soft and smooth while reducing the sticky or tacky feeling that can cause lint to cling to the silicone.
Apply a small amount using a soft powder puff or brush and gently pat it over the silicone. You do not need a heavy layer — a little goes a long way!
Never use random household powders or products on your silicone baby unless you know they are silicone-safe.

👗 Clothing & Color Transfer
Be especially careful with new, dark or brightly colored clothing.
Some fabrics and dyes can transfer color onto vinyl or silicone and may be extremely difficult — or sometimes impossible — to remove.
We recommend washing new clothing before putting it on your baby and being cautious with dark denim, black clothing and heavily dyed fabrics.
When in doubt, choose lighter-colored clothing or place a light onesie underneath darker outfits.
🎀 Hair Care
Your baby’s hair should always be treated gently, especially if your baby has rooted hair.
Use a soft baby brush or other gentle brush and avoid pulling, tugging or brushing aggressively. Try to limit unnecessary brushing and friction from hats, blankets and pillows.
Rooted hair is individually placed and can be pulled out, so treat it like one of your baby’s most delicate features.
👁️ Eyes, Eyelashes & Tiny Details
Eyelashes, eyes, fingers, toes and other small details help make your baby look incredibly realistic — but they can also be delicate.
Avoid pulling on eyelashes, forcing accessories into your baby’s mouth, or picking at painted or detailed areas.
Little hands should always be encouraged to use gentle baby care. 💗
☀️ Protect Your Baby
When your baby isn’t being played with, keep them in a clean, comfortable place away from:
Direct sunlight • Extreme heat • Pets • Sharp objects • Rough surfaces • Heavily dyed fabrics
Never leave your baby inside a hot vehicle or somewhere exposed to excessive heat for an extended period.

Your baby isn’t meant to spend their entire life sitting untouched on a shelf. 💕
Dress them, cuddle them, rock them, take pictures, have pretend feeding time and enjoy all of the little moments that make being a Reborn parent so much fun.
Just remember: gentle play = happy baby!
